Vintage Porpoise Boy Clamshell Pedestal Dish Soap Candy

Product Information

A beautiful white pedestal dish with a boy astride a porpoise, holding a clamshell above his head...all in magnificent white! It measures 7 3/4" high,

with the base 5 1/4" wide and 4 1/4" deep. On the bottom  of the base is stamped HOLLAND (trademark) MOLD. This is a ceramic piece in excellent

condition! There are a few marks, but the glaze is in superb condition. This pedestal dish would be wonderful as a soap dish for your bathroom vanity,

or a candy dish! It will be securely packed, to arrive safely. (Email me for more photos.)

A bit of history about Holland Molds: Holland Mold Inc. was founded by an Austrian immigrant and mold maker, Frank Hollendonner. He started the

business with his brother in his garage in 1946, in Trenton, N.J. They moved to a larger facility and made molds for crafters, and various pottery

companies in the area. Some potteries produced professionally fired pieces with the Holland Mold mark. The business was run by three generations

of the Hollendonner family, but finally closed its' doors in 1997, when the family sold the business.
